The dual-shaft shredder features a heavy-duty design, high-strength blade shafts, and special alloy cutters, specifically designed for shredding bulky, thick, and difficult-to-handle scrap metals.
Using low-speed, high-torque shearing and tearing, it breaks down bulk metal into uniformly small, manageable fragments.
This equipment is suitable for processing a variety of scrap metal materials and is ideal for metal recycling plants, scrap steel processing centers, automobile dismantling plants, appliance recycling companies, and metal product manufacturers.
Light and thin metal materials: Automobile bodies, oil drums, paint cans, filing cabinets, metal packaging boxes, etc.
Medium and thick metal materials: Scrap steel, steel sections, rebar, metal briquettes, door and window frames, etc.
Mixed metal products: Used appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners), bicycle and motorcycle frames, electronic product casings, etc.
Other: Used tire wire, cables and wires (to separate copper/aluminum from plastic), etc.
The twin-shaft shredder’s operating principle is based on the synergistic effects of shearing, tearing, and squeezing.
Feeding: Material is fed into the hopper via a conveyor or manually.
Tearing and Shearing: Two cutter shafts equipped with staggered blades rotate at relatively low speeds, driven by a motor and a reducer. As material enters between the cutter shafts, it is firmly gripped by the rotating blades and subjected to powerful shearing and tearing through the tiny gaps between them.
Sieving Control: Crushed material smaller than the screen aperture is discharged from the bottom. Material that does not meet the required size is continuously sheared within the shredder until it meets discharge specifications.
Discharging: Uniform fragments fall through the screen and are transported by the discharge conveyor, completing the shredding process. The entire process is smooth, efficient, and quiet.
1.Self-Cleaning Action: The counter-rotating rollers effectively clean each other. Sticky, fibrous, or wet materials (wires, straps, fabrics, etc.) tend to be automatically released rather than clogging.
2.Minimal Maintenance: Fewer moving parts besides the two shafts. Blades (made of wear-resistant alloy) are replaceable. Shaft bearings are sealed and often isolated from the feed to avoid contamination.
3.Powerful Power, Efficient Processing:The brand-name motor and heavy-duty reducer provide tremendous torque, easily shredding tough metal materials. This machine boasts powerful processing capabilities and stable output.
